Contouring I (Contouring in geoSCOUT)

Learn how to create residual maps, draw fault lines, and edit existing data points (or create new ones) right in geoSCOUT.

Prerequisite: Introduction to geoSCOUT - Geology

Contouring II (Advanced Contouring with Surfer)

Learn advanced contouring techniques using geoSCOUT and Golden Software's Surfer. Move data from geoSCOUT to Surfer, perform advanced functions, such as residuals and 3D surface maps, and return finished contours to geoSCOUT to create a presentation map.

Prerequisite: Introduction to geoSCOUT - Geology

DST Solutions Seminar

Learn how to search for wells with DST Data, Post DST Data to the map, Access Raster DSTs and Perform hydrodynamic interpretations using DST Pro featuring geoSCOUT's extensive production and pressure database and DSTs quality assured by Rick Bartlett and his team at Hydro-Fax Resources Ltd.

Prerequisite: Any geoSCOUT Introduction course

Engineering

Learn to use several powerful modules built for engineers and technicians. View material balance, reserves and correlation well information. Search for and post pipeline and facilities data.

Prerequisite: Any geoSCOUT Introduction course

Epic Products Seminar

covers the use of ResSurveil and ResBalacne Tools in geoSCOUT

ResSurveil: Understand reservoir performance to help optimize production and recovery. Evaluate well performance relative to other wells in a pool, compare pattern to pattern performance and make filed to filed comparisons for acquisition and divestiture decisions

ResBalance: Create plots to assist in analyzing material balance results, including Havlena and Odeh plots and calculated OOIP versus time. Create or import pressure profiles. Insert your own PVT data, import or choose aquifer functions. Estimate initial hydrocarbons in place, determine the amount of water influx, and predict future reservior pressures and production under continued operation.

Prerequisite: Any geoSCOUT Introduction course

Recommended: Production Analysis

frameWORKS and LAS

In this course you will learn how to customize your Raster Log and LAS curve preferences using a frameWORK. Activate the auto-splice feature to completely cover your chosen interval. Learn how to set cut-0offs on LAS curves and save the results to geoSCOUT's User Database. You will also learn how to enhance your Cross Section by adding a Log Analysis Plot.

Prerequisite: twinGRAM and Cross Section

geoLOGX Pro

Learn how to import LAS formatted well log data, view and analyze this data, adding additional data such as core analysis result, then create a petrophysical interpretation.

Prerequisite: Introduction to geoSCOUT - Geology

Recommended: frameWORKS and LAS

geoSCOUT User Database

Learn the modules made for geologists. Focus on geoSCOUT's powerful User Database: pick tops, contour, create basic cross sections, view logs, import data and add your own wells to the database.

Prerequisite: Introduction to geoSCOUT - Geology
